A midday collision between a local passenger ship and a small sailboat off the coast of Split, Croatia, has left three people dead and another missing. The French-flagged sailboat, which was carrying eight Czech citizens, sank rapidly after the impact, though four passengers managed to survive with non-critical injuries. Search teams utilizing an underwater drone have already located the wreckage at a depth exceeding 50 meters, where officials suspect the missing individual may still be trapped. Salvage operations to recover the sunken vessel are set to commence tomorrow morning, while Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has officially extended his condolences to the Czech Republic over the incident.
