A sinkhole with a diameter of 15 meters and a depth of 10 meters appeared in the Canova village, located in Türkiye’s Sivas following the successive devastating earthquakes in the country.
“This sinkhole was probably formed after the earthquake. There was an earthquake in the district of Çimenyenice, and we all felt it in the village. We assume that the sinkhole formed after that earthquake. The water that came out of the ground may have appeared due to the location’s proximity to the Kızılırmak River,” said Yahya Şahin, the Headman of Canova Village.
