Six Dead in Russian Strikes in Ukraine

At least six people were killed and 22 wounded in Russian attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk shortly before a US-announced energy ceasefire. Three people died and 22 were injured, including two children, when Russian forces struck a market in Kharkiv, while a separate attack in Ivano-Frankivsk claimed three more lives. Additionally, railway infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region was heavily targeted, with Ukraine’s State Emergency Services stating, “Russia launched several attacks on the north of the region from the evening hours onwards,” sparking fires that rescue teams swiftly extinguished.
