Ski resort in Turkey’s eastern city Elazig prepares for opening

Preparation for the season has started at Hazarbaba ski resort with lake view, which is one of the favorite places of tourism in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, located at an altitude of 1,300 in Elazig. According to reports, the ski center, which attracts thousands of skiers from various provinces each year, will reopen once the snow thickness reaches a certain level. Stating that the work at the ski center has come to an end, Hazarbaba Ski Center and Sivrice Construction Site Chief Salih Şimşek said, “90% of our preparations for the season have been completed. The cafeteria at the facility is currently open. Right now, there is 10 centimeters of snow on the ground, but it is not enough for skiing. When the snow thickness reaches 30 centimeters, we will have the runway ready,” he said.

A new track for children and beginners has also been added to the ski center.
