Snow Depth Exceeds 2 Meters in Türkiye’s Şırnak

The depth of the snow that blocked the Tanin Tanin Passage in the Uludere district of Türkiye’s Şırnak province exceeded two meters. With three days of work, the snow removal team managed to open only the half of the 35-kilometer passage, which leads to Uzungeçit town.

“We are trying to move forward on the road with snow blowing vehicles. We have been working for 3 days, and we are halfway there. We will open the road today and tomorrow, hopefully,” said Cevher Ürek, a road clearing team employee.
