Snow Festival Wows with Realistic Sculptures in Japan

The 74th Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan’s Hokkaido province has kicked off, showcasing 190 snow and ice sculptures in Odori Park. The festival, which traditionally draws over 2 million visitors, returns without Covid-19 restrictions for the first time in three years. Local artists and residents crafted realistic sculptures, providing a visual delight for attendees. The event, previously held virtually in 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic, will run until February 11.
