Snowfall brings life to a standstill in Pakistan

Heavy snowfall and rain that started yesterday brought life to a standstill in many regions of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, such as Quetta, Ziarat and Pishin. Many vehicles were stranded on snow-covered roads. Authorities declared a state of emergency to deal with the effects of the disaster after some areas failed to communicate.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) announced that road cleaning works continue.
