Snowstorm in Canada: More than 60 vehicles collide

More than 60 vehicles collided with each other on two highways in the Canadian province of Ontario due to a snowstorm. Both highways were closed to traffic in both directions.

Due to the severe storm, airline companies canceled some of their flights across the country, while thousands of homes and businesses were left without power. Authorities urged citizens not to go out unless absolutely necessary.

The Canadian National Weather Service stated that the snowstorm, affecting the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, will continue in the following days, and the snow depth is expected to reach up to 50 centimeters.
