Snowstorm Killed 40 in US in 6 Days

The recent snowstorm and cold wave have been causing chaos in the USA since January 12. According to the US media, a total of 40 people from the states of Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin lost their lives. Fallen trees and knocked-down power lines caused power outages in thousands of homes and workplaces. Many traffic accidents occurred on roads due to icing as well.

More snowfall is expected in the west and east of the country starting tomorrow.
