solar power plant nears complete in eastern turkey

Sivas Municipality in Turkey has begun work to produce the energy it requires using domestic and renewable resources. It began energy production by completing the first phase of the solar power plant, which has a total capacity of 4 MW and will generate electricity. The first stage, which was built on a 20-acre plot of land and had a capacity of 1 megawatt, saw the installation of 3,975 new generation monocrystalline solar panels. The panels generate 1,700,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year.

Sivas Municipality will save millions of liras on electricity costs thanks to the project, which has completed its second stage of construction. The 4 MW facility will generate enough energy to power 4,000 houeholds. The works in the second phase of the project with a capacity of 2 MW are about to be completed, authorities said.
