South America Witness First Solar Eclipse of the Year

The first of this year’s two solar eclipses happened in Mexico, visible in eastern USA, southeastern Canada, and Mexico. The eclipse, lasting over 4 minutes in certain spots, drew observers to Mazatlan. The final eclipse of the year will be seen in Turkey, with durations varying from 10 seconds to about 7 and a half minutes, according to NASA.
