South Korea and U.S. Launch Joint Military Exercise

South Korea and the United States have begun the 11-day Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) exercise, simulating an “all-out war” scenario. The drills involve 19,000 South Korean troops and include various military activities aimed at countering North Korean provocations. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol emphasized the need for readiness against potential threats from North Korea, including cyber attacks and misinformation.
