South Korea Launches Arirang 7 Satellite

South Korea’s Arirang 7 satellite was successfully launched aboard Arianespace’s Vega-C rocket from French Guiana, KASA announced. The satellite reached its planned orbit 44 minutes after liftoff, with first contact confirmed by KARI.

Equipped with high-resolution optical and infrared sensors, Arirang 7 will support disaster and environmental monitoring. Data transmission is scheduled to begin in 2026.
