South Korea Plane Crash Death Toll Rises to 167

The South Korean National Fire Service announced that the death toll in the plane crash at Muan International Airport has risen to 167. Authorities speculate that other people on the plane lost their lives as well.

The 2 male cabin crew members who survived the crash receive treatment in hospitals in Seoul.

The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that the airport control tower issued a bird strike warning for the Jeju Air plane 6 minutes before the crash, that the control tower gave the plane permission to land on the runway from the opposite direction, and that the plane performed a landing test with its landing gear retracted.
