south korea protests radiocative water release from fukushima NPP

Japan’s decision to discharge treated radioactive water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the ocean on yesterday caused eyebrows to raise in South Korea. Under the leadership of main opposition Democratic Party, numerous South Koreans marched towards the presidential office in Seoul.

Yesterday, South Korean police detained 16 individuals for breaking into the Japanese embassy building in Seoul during the demonstrations.
