South Korea Sends Second Domestic Military Spy Satellite into Orbit

South Korea sent its second domestic military spy satellite into orbit. The South Korean Ministry of Defense said that SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket carrying the satellite was successfully launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, at 19.17 local time.

The satellite has the technology to obtain data using microwaves and has synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors that can collect data regardless of weather conditions.

South Korea aims to place 5 military spy satellites into orbit by 2025.
