Amid rising military tensions on the Korean Peninsula, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol issued a stern warning to North Korea. During a visit to the Land Operations Command in Yongin, where he was briefed on the Ulchi Freedom Shield exercise conducted jointly with the USA, Yoon emphasized the threat posed by North Korea’s regime. He declared that any attempt by North Korea to invade South Korea, in pursuit of forced unification, would lead to the end of the Pyongyang regime. Yoon stressed the importance of strong military preparedness to deter North Korean provocations and highlighted the critical role of neutralizing North Korea’s long-range artillery and missile bases in the early stages of any potential conflict.
