SpaceX sends communications satellite into orbit

SpaceX, a space transportation company owned by US businessman Elon Musk, sent a communications satellite into orbit. The Falcon-9 rocket, carrying the high-geostationary communications satellite Intelsat-40e to provide coverage to users in North America, was successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Base in Florida at 12:30 p.m. local time. As part of this mission, Intelsat-40e will host the NASA vehicle TEMPO, which will measure air pollution in North America in high resolution and hourly.

Additionally, the Intelsat-40e is produced by Maxar Technologies and weighs approximately 5,440 kilos.
