Special voting for general elections in Iraq begins

As part of the early general elections to be held in Iraq on Sunday, 1,196,453 voters who are consisting of security forces, immigrants, and prisoners, have begun to cast their votes ahead of public. There are 595 ballot boxes in the elections that will last until the evening. Election Center Observer said that voter turnout was high.

In the election to be held next Sunday in Iraq, approximately 24 million voters in the country with a population of 40 million will vote. According to Iraqi Independent High Election Commission data, 3,249 candidates will compete for the 329 seats in the parliament.
