Alperen Uslu, an amateur angler off the coast of Antalya’s Manavgat district in Türkiye, captured footage of a 15-meter sperm whale 10 miles from Side Harbor. Uslu, who often shares his encounters on social media, described how they maintained a respectful distance, filming from 50 meters away. The whale, possibly separated from its herd, dived into the deep blue, showing its tail. Uslu noted that the whale species feeds on plankton and was not harmful.
