SpaceX’s giant Starship rocket successfully reached Earth orbit for the first time during its 14th test flight. However, the planned 10-hour mission was cut short due to an engine failure, resulting in a Pacific Ocean landing roughly three hours after liftoff. Despite the early return, achieving orbit remains a critical milestone for the $15 billion development program. CEO Elon Musk emphasized that their ultimate goal is to launch hunders or thousands of Starships annually to achieve unprecedented transport speeds across the space industry.
