Statue of General Robert E. Lee removed in virginia, US

The statue of General Robert E. Lee in Richmond, Virginia was removed. The statue was targeted in the protests against racism and police violence that started after the murder of George Floyd by the police. General Lee objected to the abolition of slavery and defended the white supremacy during the American Civil War. The statue was moved to a secure facility, while the graffiti-covered pedestal will remain in place until the rearrangement.
