Storm Javier hits Mexico

The storm Javier, emerging in Pacific Ocean, hit coasts in Mexico with downpours. La Paz and Los Cabos in Baja California Sur are currently suffering from flood incidents. Some cities have suspended educational activities.

The storm is expected to stay out of the central parts of the country. National Meteorology Service of Mexico states that the storm, reaching 95 kph, will only affect the coastal regions such as Baja California Sur, Veracruz, Guerrero, and Tabasco. Authorities also expect the waves around the coasts to grow up to 5 meters in length.
