Storms Hit Southern USA, Killing 18

 

At least 18 people, including two children, died as severe storms and flash floods swept through southern and midwestern USA. Tennessee reported 10 deaths, while Arkansas and Kentucky were also heavily affected.

The storm caused major disruptions—over 250,000 power outages, widespread flooding, and nearly 7,000 flight delays and cancellations. In Kentucky, towns near the Licking River were evacuated as river levels reached record highs.
