Over two dozen caretta caretta babies were found stranded on a beach in Antalya’s Kemer district yesterday due to the sand on the beach reaching extreme temperatures. The situation immediately caught the attention of teams from the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, and the babies were helped to reach the sea.
Several Antalya beaches that caretta carettas use to lay their eggs have been protected for more than 15 years.
