The Suosong village in the Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China has become a popular destination for nature lovers owing to its distinctive plateau vistas and continuously expanding infrastructure. The tourist industry has reached its peak in recent years in large part because of the peach blossom festival, which was organized in Nyingchi City for the twentieth time this year. The community today has 416 residents and 120 houses. Currently, villagers manage 41 homestays with 1,600 bedrooms available for travelers. The Nyingchi peach blossom festival for this year will run through mid-May.
“Tourism has become the hope of Suosong Village. More and more tourists come here, bringing more income to locals. We feel very happy,” explained Puba, local villager.
“Here the facilities, including the service, are much better than before. The city (Nyingchi) changes so much that you can find different scenery in every year’s visit,” says Yang, a visitor.
