The Suala Plateau and the Suala Glacier Pond within it, located on the borders of Kastamonu and Çankırı and at the foothills of the Ilgaz Mountains at an altitude of 2,589 meters in the Western Black Sea Region, fascinate with their stunning view.
“This is not an artificial pond; it is completely natural. It was formed by the snow water in the pits on the plateau. It never dries up. Its floor is not a swamp,” said Hikmet Haberal, a faculty member.
