Supercell Clouds Cause Heavy Rain in Istanbul

Seven-kilometer-thick supercell clouds coming from the Black Sea region caused torrential rain in Istanbul. Moving over the Sea of Marmara, the clouds released heavy rain for about 1 hour, disrupting traffic and causing floods in many parts of the city. Sunlight, which was drastically blocked in the meantime, started to reach the city after about an hour.
