Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi arrived in the Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv. Welcomed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Pelosi, Massachusetts Representative Jim McGovern, US House Intelligence Committee Chairman California Representative Adam Schiff, New York Representative Gregory Meeks, US House Foreign Relations Committee Chairman and Colorado Representative Jason Crow later held a meeting. “We wanted to thank you by visiting you for fighting for your freedom. Our promise is to be with you until the war is over,” Pelosi said while speaking at the meeting.
“The US is the leader in the strong support of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. Thank you for helping to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state,” Zelensky said while stating that he was pleased with the visit of the US delegation. After the meeting, Pelosi and Zelensky appeared before the press and posed together.
