A 26-year-old man was pulled alive from the rubble of a hotel in Myanmar’s capital, Naypyidaw, five days after the 7.7 and 6.4 magnitude earthquakes. The rescue was carried out by Myanmar’s fire department and a Turkish search and rescue team.
The earthquakes have caused widespread destruction, with the death toll rising to 2,886 and 4,639 people injured. At least 373 remain missing as search and rescue efforts continue.
