Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson held a joint press conference today with Charles Michel, President of the European Union (EU) Council, in Stockholm, Sweden. Speaking about the disagreement with Turkey over Sweden and Finland’s application for NATO membership, Andersson said, “Negotiations with Turkey are currently ongoing. We expect these talks to continue.”
Expressing that the Swedish diplomats will discuss Turkey’s reservations and demands in Ankara, Andersson said, “We will examine and discuss this list. We will clarify things that are unclear in the media reports and statements made from other places.”
Pointing out where Sweden’s financial aid is sent and information on arms sales are included in this list, Andersson said: “We certainly do not send money or weapons to terrorist organizations.”
