Palestinian Doctor Returns to Work Despite Amputation

Khaled Al-Sa’idani, a 50-year-old Palestinian doctor from Bureij Refugee Camp, continues his work in the pediatric department of Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital, despite losing his leg due to Israeli attacks. Al-Sa’idani was injured by shrapnel during an attack on the camp and, due to complications from diabetes, had his leg amputated four months later.

He emphasized the importance of returning to work despite ongoing health challenges, including blocked arteries in his remaining leg. Al-Sa’idani is unable to leave Gaza for treatment due to Israeli restrictions.
