Following the overthrow of the Assad regime, opposition leader Abu Mohammad al-Jallani met with former regime Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jallani in Damascus. The talks included Mohammad al-Bashir, president of the Idlib-based Syrian Salvation Government, who is expected to serve as prime minister in the transitional government.
Al-Jallani acknowledged the Salvation Government’s progress over the past four years and emphasized leveraging the previous administration’s experience. After the meeting, he announced an agreement to transfer power to the Syrian Salvation Government.
