Speaking at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, declared that his country is turning a new page, ceasing to be a mere “mailbox for conflicts.” Addressing an international audience in Antalya, Türkiye, Shara emphasized that the region is facing unprecedented challenges requiring exceptional solutions. He highlighted Syria’s commitment to strategic neutrality, refusing to take sides in the ongoing tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran. By maintaining an equal distance from all major powers, Shara believes Syria can transform into a vital diplomatic bridge. After 14 years of devastating war, he noted, the country is exhausted and strictly focused on preventing further regional escalation.
