The Syrian Defense and Interior Ministries have taken control of the town of Qardaha in the Syrian city of Latakia after 24 hours of clashes with armed groups loyal to ousted leader Assad yesterday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Syrian security forces have also taken control of Baniyas in the city of Tartus.
