Syrian Tribes Unite for Future

 

In Damascus, representatives from 40 tribes and clans, including Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens, Circassians, and various religious communities, convened to discuss Syria’s future following the fall of the Assad regime. Nearly 400 attendees emphasized unity and collaboration in rebuilding the country, representing over half of Syria’s population.

Torki Tribe representative Samer Hemsh stated, “We discussed the future of Syria and made decisions together. All of Syria is one nation.” He highlighted Türkiye’s positive role, expressing hope that its support would inspire Syria’s reconstruction, saying, “If Türkiye helps, the new Syria can be like Türkiye.” The meeting conveyed strong messages of solidarity and commitment to national unity.
