Friday prayers were held with great reverence at the historic Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria, following its reopening after being closed to the public during the Assad regime. Worshippers from Syria and other nations gathered to pray in the iconic mosque.
Muammer Yavuz, a visitor from Türkiye, expressed his joy, saying, “The tomb of Saladin Ayyubi, the conqueror of Damascus, is now free. This is a victory for all Muslims and a blessing for Syria.”
