Syrians living in the United States gathered in Lafayette Park, Washington D.C., to greet Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara as he left the White House after meeting US President Donald Trump. Waving Syrian flags, the crowd cheered as al-Shara stopped his convoy and saluted them in response.
