Taliban delegation visits Turkey after taking power

A plane carrying Taliban delegation led by acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has landed in capital’s Esenboğa airport Thursday, officials said.

Afghan spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Qahar Balkhi earlier said “A high-level delegation led by foreign minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi is heading to Turkey today. A senior IAEA delegation departed for Ankara upon the official invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu. The delegation will hold talks with senior Turkish officials over mutual interests.”

A number of decisions will be considered on the development of the relations, trade, humanitarian aid, migration and aviation.
