A tanker carrying 60 tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) collided with a car in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, near Dunjingarav shopping center. The impact led to a gas leak and subsequent explosion, engulfing nearby structures. Six people, including three firefighters, lost their lives, and 14 others were injured. The blast damaged 29 vehicles. Emergency responders evacuated residents, and the fire was extinguished. Initial findings suggest the tanker’s sharp turn caused the collision, triggering the gas leak and explosion. An investigation is underway.
