Tehranian Taxi Driver Turns His Car into Museum for Clients

Ibrahim Fekharyan, a 60-year-old Tehranian taxi driver, turned his taxi into a unique museum with dozens of old coins from various countries and other intriguing objects. Fekharyan states that the objects, most of which have been given to him by his clients since 2015, are very valuable to him. He states that he even received a medal from a medal-winning university student one day.

“Tehran traffic was getting worse day by day, and one day I thought, ‘What should I do so that the guests won’t get bored while they’re in my taxi? I had a few old coins, and I glued them to my taxi. Later, when my friends and customers who got into my taxi saw the money, they started giving more. Ninety-nine percent of the money you see now was given by customers. My only goal in doing this was for customers to have an enjoyable time throughout the journey. Everyone who has ridden my taxi so far, young or old, has enjoyed their journey. Some passengers even do not want to get off and want to extend the journey a little longer,” Fekharyan said.
