Texas elementary school shooting leaves 21 dead

An armed attack on Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, USA, killed 21 people, including 19 children and 2 adults. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the 18-year-old attacker, who was found dead, was named Salvador Ramos and was a student of Uvalde High School. According to Abbott, the attacker got out of a vehicle, entered the school, and opened fire. A border police officer who was nearby at the time of the attack rushed to the scene and killed the attacker.

According to reports, the injured were taken to the hospital, where a 66-year-old woman and a 10-year-old child were in critical condition. The school where the attack occurred had approximately 500 registered students aged 7 to 10.

The bloodiest primary school attack in US history occurred in Connecticut in 2012, killing 26 people, including 20 children.
