A 51-year-old police inspector working in Thailand’s Special Intelligence Bureau, who has been suffering from mental problems for a while, had a nervous breakdown at his home in the capital, Bangkok, and opened fire at random yesterday. Ignoring the efforts to persuade him to drop his weapon and surrender, the attacker fired more than 50 times.
After 24 hours of struggle, the police caught the attacker as he jumped out of the window and got injured after the officers broke into his house with tear gas.
