Thailand Floods and Landslides Kill At least 22

Severe monsoon rains have caused widespread flooding and landslides across Thailand, leading to the deaths of 22 people and injuries to 19 others. The Thailand Disaster Prevention Department (DDPM) reported that the disasters, which occurred between the 16th and 25th of this month, have impacted 21,824 households nationwide. Provinces like Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Phetchabun, and Nakhon Si Thammarat have been declared flood zones. The Thailand Meteorological Department has warned that the rains will persist until the end of the month, raising concerns that floodwaters in the northern regions could soon threaten the capital, Bangkok, via the Chao Phraya River.
