The Water Festival Songkran, which is accepted as the beginning of the new year according to the Thai calendar of the South Asian country and symbolizes fertility, was celebrated with organized events. The traditional celebrations, which start on April 13 every year and continue for three days, witnessed colorful scenes throughout the country this year. Following the Thai people’s usual temple visits and prayer ceremonies in the morning, the water fights that started in the streets captivated their interest, especially among kids and young people.
