The first solar power plant put into operation in Turkey’s Black Sea region

The first solar power plant has been put into operation in Turkey’s Black Sea region. The only solar energy system of the region is expected to produce 4 million kilowatt hours of energy per year. The solar system which was installed in Alucra the town of Giresun has cost 15 million Turkish liras. It involves a total of 8,000 panels on a 30 acre site.
