The Red Crescent distributes iftar meals to 77,000 people in Syria

The Turkish Red Crescent General Manager İbrahim Altan stated that the Turkish Red Crescent continues its aid activities in many areas in Syria and they distribute iftar meals to 77,000 people during Ramadan. Altan also noted that they provided food support to more than 30,000 families. “We have 3,000 orphans in our 12 orphan camps and we meet their food, nutrition, clothing and other needs. We distribute approximately 30,000 packages of bread. There are 1,396 camps, some of which are registered, some of which are camps that people set up with their own means, and we help them if there is a demand from these camps,” Altan said in his statement.

Altan told that as the Turkish Red Crescent, they have been helping Syrian citizens who have been suffering in this region for 11 years. “Briquette houses are a big project. Under the coordination of AFAD, a briquette house, which was 10,000 and 20,000 at first, has now reached almost 60,000. Our houses, whose projects are about to be completed, will be delivered to their owners after the holiday,” Altan said.
