The 4th and the last prototype before mass production of the the Turkish domestic general purpose helicopter “Gökbey”, which Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) General Manager Temel Kotil announced took off for the first time, was displayed for the first time. The Gökbey, the construction of which was started and successfully designed to produce Turkey’s domestic and national helicopters, is rapidly moving towards mass production. Designed by the Presidency of Defense Industries and manufactured by TAI, Gökbey is among the best in its field. The Gökbey general purpose helicopter, which can operate effectively in high altitude and high temperature day and night conditions even in the most challenging climates and geographies, is designed and manufactured using national resources and capabilities.
