The U.S. House of Representatives failed again to elect a speaker

In the ballot to elect the speaker of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the United States (USA) Congress, a sufficient majority could not be reached in the 10th and 11th rounds. The Republican majority leader, Congressman, failed to reach the winning threshold, remaining with 200 votes. Continuing not to support McCarthy, 12 Republicans voted in favor of Byron Donalds. While 7 Republicans voted for Kevin Hern, as before, the preference of all 212 Democrats was Hakeem Jeffries, the party leader.

The session was postponed yesterday at around 8 p.m. local time, and it was decided to postpone the elections for the 12th round until noon on Friday, January 6th.
