Despite restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities, Muslims congregated at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem’s Old City to observe the Eid prayer. The Jerusalem Islamic Foundations Administration reported that around 60 thousand individuals participated in the Eid prayer at Masjid al-Aqsa. Israeli police heightened security measures by setting up iron barriers and conducting identity checks on worshippers entering the mosque. Palestinians who were denied access by Israeli forces resorted to praying in the vicinity of Masjid al-Aqsa.
